Kefalonia Day 8. Friday 26th May 2017.
Awake at 0645hrs. Finish throwing a few items into our case. Sheila is already downstairs with a cup of tea brewing. The day will be another good one with clear blue skies. Out in the far distance we can see another cruise liner crossing from Zante to Kefalonia.
We depart for Agostelli, the capital. We need to catch the plane home from there but as we have time to spare we divert to the sea front to look at the turtles which feed off the fishing boats in the harbour. There were quite a few. Whilst all ran up and down snapping, if you'll pardon the pun photos, Mike took a seat and watched the world pass buy. If you've seen one turtle, you've seen them all.
"Lorraine will you get off the turtle!"
Returning to the airport we queued for an hour to check in. Passed suitcases through security. I have my doubts if the machine was switched on! Then as advised by Mandy crossed over the road to a small Taverna and enjoyed a light lunch before returning and boarding our Thomas Cook Airlines flight back to sunny Bristol.
For once Bristol was extremely sunny and hot. Roll on next years family holiday. Will it happen?
