Easter 2018 in Cornwall.

Returning from France on the Friday night we barely had chance to change our clothes and we were off to Porthcathan and Berryfields camp site for Easter. We arrived late morning and rather had our thoughts on a light lunch at the Tea rooms at Berryfields but had totally forgotten Chris does not open the tea rooms till May 1st!

The ground looked wet and in search of our usual spot we managed to get stuck in the mud. After much pushing and grunting with the aid of a few 'sand ladders' and some much amused fellow campers, Callum included we were soon parked up.

We had a few good days walking on the cliffs. We visited 'the crack' on the headland where the little ones jumped in for a photo. In a few years time this area will also slide into the sea.

Saturday night we ate at 'The Catch' in Morgan Porth. Enjoyable but overpriced I thought. The young Corco's have been coming here for years and there is quite a group of of young friends, many with young children. We are fortunate to be invited into this group. This year with the inclement weather there where not so many little ones down this Easter as compared to last year when the weather was great. Mikey, Rich and I set out an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. As fast as we were hiding the eggs Jackie was following along behind and eating them!

Limoges France. March 2018

Angie and Tom had been asking us if we would like to visit to see the spring flowers and we had therefore booked the first flight out with Ryanair. £30 return not bad. We thought we would take Sheila out for a break as she has not seen them for a year or so.

The weather was not as good as we had hoped but that did not stop us getting out and about. Mainly lunchtimes for the set three course lunches. Jackie and I did have an opportunity to walk the Le Buis circuit or at least part of it.

Nothing seems to change very much in this central part of France. It is glorious and so reminds one of Devon's green fields. There is of course so much more forest. Mainly deciduous.
